BYOBot ("we", "us", "our") is a tool that helps you design and build automation workflows using AI. We take your privacy seriously and collect as little data as possible to make the product work.
We do not require you to create an account or provide an email address to use BYOBot. The only identifier we store is a random ID generated in your browser (saved in localStorage) used to track any build credits you've purchased. We never link this ID to your name or email, and we hold no record of who it belongs to.
If you make a purchase, Stripe processes your payment. Stripe may collect your name, email, and payment details; see Stripe's Privacy Policy for details. To credit the right browser, your random ID is included in the checkout, which means Stripe holds it alongside your payment record. We receive back only a confirmation of payment and that ID. The ID is also included in the analytics events described below.
When you describe a task or chat with BYOBot, your messages are sent to Anthropic's Claude API to generate responses. We do not store your conversation history on our servers. Anthropic may retain messages in accordance with their own Privacy Policy.
We use localStorage to store your random session ID and any saved automations. This data lives in your browser and is transmitted to our servers only for payment and credit lookups. In addition, Google Analytics (described below) sets cookies, such as _ga, to recognize repeat visits. Blocking these cookies with your browser or an ad blocker does not break BYOBot.
We use two analytics services. Cloudflare's built-in analytics collects aggregate, anonymized traffic data (page views, general geography, browser type). Google Analytics (GA4) collects page views, device and browser information, and product events such as when a build starts, when the paywall is shown, and when a purchase completes. Purchase and usage events include the random ID described above so we can count them correctly; they never include your name, email, or conversation content. Google processes this data under Google's Privacy Policy.
BYOBot uses the following third-party services: Anthropic (AI responses), Stripe (payment processing), Cloudflare (hosting and analytics), and Google (analytics). Each operates under their own privacy policies.
We hold payment credit records (random ID + credit count) in Cloudflare KV storage. You can request deletion at any time by contacting us at the address below. Clearing your browser's localStorage will remove your local session data immediately. Analytics data is retained by Google and Cloudflare under their own policies; deleting their cookies stops future collection from your browser.
BYOBot is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.
We may update this policy from time to time. Continued use of BYOBot after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
